Is Knit in Time free?
Yes. There are no paid tiers and no ads. If you want to support development, you can tip on Ko-fi.
Do I need an account?
No. Knit in Time has no accounts and no sign-up. Your patterns and progress live in your browser.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. Knit in Time is a Progressive Web App and installs as an icon on iOS and Android. See the install guide for step-by-step instructions on each platform. Installing also gives your locally stored data stronger protection — browsers can evict data for ordinary websites under storage pressure, but installed apps get persistent storage.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first load, the app is cached on your device and works without a network connection. Your patterns and progress are stored locally so they don't need a server.
Can I sync between my phone and laptop?
Yes. Cloud Sync uses a private GitHub Gist that you own — see the Cloud Sync guide for setup. If you'd rather not use sync, the Export / Import feature in Settings lets you move state between devices manually with a JSON file.
How do I back up my data?
Open Settings and use Export. You'll get a JSON file with all your patterns and sessions. Use Import on the same or a different device to restore.
